DETAILS  REGARDING QUALFICATIONS FOR THE POST OF

 DIRECTOR   OF  PHYSICAL  EDUCATION  &  RECREATION

 

QUALIFICATIONS :

 

1.       Master’s Degree in  Physical Education (Two Years’ Course) or Master’s Degree in Sports or an equivalent Degree with atleast  55% of marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in the UGC 7 point scale alongwith  a “consistently good academic” record.

 

          Besides fulfilling the above qualifications candidates should have cleared the eligibility test ( NET / SET ) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar tests accreditated  by the  UGC or conducted by the Pune University for the Government of Maharashtra .

 

2.       Record of having represented the University / College at the Inter-University / Inter Collegiate competitions or the State at National Championship(s).

 

3.       Passed the Physical Fitness Test as per the following norms.

          However, before taking the test a candidate shall produce a Medical

Certificate Certifying that he / she is Medically fit.

 

Notes : 

1.         A relaxation of 5%  of the marks may be provided ( i.e. from 55%  to 50%  of the  marks) at the           Master’s degree level  for the   to SC / ST category applicants.

 

2.        A relaxation of 5%  of the marks may be provided i.e. from 55%  to 50%  of marks to the Ph.D . degree  holders who  have passed their  Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

 

3.         “B” in the 7 point  scale with latters grades, O,A,B shall be regarded as equivalent   to 55%  of marks wherever the grading system is followed as under :

:  2 :

4.         “NET” shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Director  even for candidates having Ph.D. degree. However, the candidates who  have  completed M.Phil. Degree  or have submitted  Ph.D. thesis in the  concerned subject upto 31st December, 1993, are exempted from appearing in the NET Examination.

 

          Provided further that these regulations  shall not be applicable to such cases where selections of candidates  having had the then requisite  minimum qualifications as were existing at the time through duly constituted Selection  Committee for making appointments  to the teaching  posts have been made prior to the enforcement  of UGC / Maharashtra State  regulations.

 

Pay Scale :  Rs. 8000-275-13500 and other allowances applicable as per rule.

 

Instructions :

 

1.      An applicant is required to submit a separate application for each post.

 

2.       Application (s) made on plain paper OR those in prescribed form received after 5-00 pm on the prescribed date shall not be entertained, under any circumstances, whatsoever.

 

3.       Eleven copies of the application form alongwith attested true copies of the relevant enclosures to all the Eleven copies shall be submitted alongwith copies of application form, failing which it will be treated as rejected.  Attested copies or reprints of testimonials will not be returned.

 

4.       Applicants who are in the employment, shall route their applications through their Employer.  However, in case of an “Anticipated delay” such applicants  may submit the advance copies of their applications.  In the event of applications  duly forwarded  by the Employer, not reaching the Registrar within the stipulated time, the applicant concerned shall be required to furnish a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from his / her Employer, at the time of interview, in absence of which he / she shall not be entitled to appear for the interview.

 

5.                An applicant furnishing any incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified.

 

6.       Envelope containing  the application forms should bear a caption in capital letters  an APPLICATIONS FORMS FOR THE POST OF _____________.

 

7.      University shall not be accountable  for  delays  of any sort, including the 

          postal delay, if any.

 

8.      Applicants shall not be entitled for any reimbursement in terms of TA / DA

         towards attending the interview.

 

9.       Canvassing, in any form, shall amount to disqualification.

 

10.     Applications(s) incomplete in any respect, shall be rejected without making   

          any further reference.

 

11.     Self attested passport size photograph should be affixed at the space provided in two  application form only.
