Associate Professor, HOD

She is product of Institute of Education, Center of Excellence, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalay, Indore, She is the recipient of National Merit Scholarship, Govt. of India. She has 25 years of teaching and research experience. Dr. Vaishnav has authored 16 reference books and two research Monograph. Her 08 books are published by Scholars Press Germany and Lambert academic publishing, Deutschland, Germany. She has published more than 80 research papers, articles in various International and National journals and conferences.

Dr. Vaishnav has developed 15 learning resources (LRs) that includes Group guidance program for adolescents, Computer aided instructional material for 9th class Biology for CBSE Students, Program learning Material on Environmental Education for adults, Secondary and Primary level learners, Integrated curriculum for multi-grade schools , Virtual Class room for secondary level learners etc.

She is member of Board of studies Education of Gondwana University ,Gadchiroli . Dr. Vaishnav is also a doctoral level research guide in the faculty of education of RTM Nagpur university and Gondwana Univerity Gadchiroli. 21 students have been awarded their doctoral degree under her guidance. Presently she is supervising 08 doctoral level research projects in the faculty of education. Her research area is in the field of Computer aided instruction, Multimedia instruction, Program instruction, On line learning and evaluation, Virtual classroom, Learning disabilities, Guidance and counseling etc.

Dr. Vaishnav is also a visiting faculty at Academic Staff College, of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, Nagpur University, Nagpur. She has conducted more than 50 workshops and expert lectures for in-service teachers of University, Colleges and Schools.

Brief introduction of the Department : This department is conducting the post graduate
professional course i.e. M. Ed., M. Phil.; & Ph.D. where the Professors, Teacher-Educators,
Educationists, Principals, HODís, Administrators, Planners, etc. are produced and also
conducting interdisciplinary research centre for educational projects and Ph. D. degree.
 

Objectives of the Department:
1. To complete the syllabus of the M. Ed., M. Phil. to Teach all the compulsory and optional subjects for M. Ed. degree course of the home university and Y. C. M. Open University, Nashik.
2. To organize different seminars and workshops on the issues of educational problems and research work.
3. To conduct the weekly Seminars for the students.
4. To arrange the guidance programme for students and researchers as Research guidance for M.Ed., M. Phil., and Ph.D. Students of the home university and Y. C. M. Open University, Nasik.
5. Paper Presentation on Assignments of M.Ed. M. Phil and Ph.D. Students of R. T. M. Nagpur University, Nagpur and Y. C. M. Open University, Nasik.
6. To conduct open viva voce of the research scholars on the theses submitted by them to the university for award of Ph.D. degree.
7. To conduct the various Guest lectures in the department on different topics.
8. To organize different Co-curricular activities related with the syllabus of M.Ed. and M. Phil. and Ph.D. courses.
9. To organize educational excursion and excavation for the students.
10. To organize the visit to Air Force, archeological department, museums, Aquarium, planetarium, science centre etc. to observe the same as a part of study.
11. To visit the various educational and research institutions.
