Major Projects Submitted: A
Major Research Project is submitted on 03-08-2010 to DST/SERC for
consideration on “Paleolimnological study of the
major lakes of the Nagpur District, Maharashtra
using fossil diatoms, sediment dating, hydrochemistry and
geochemistry: an approach to evaluate the trophic status and
paleoclimate”.
Research Collaborations: The
Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of
Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee for the collaborative work is likely to
be signed mainly for the 210Pb and 137Cs
dating and discussion and implementation of the outcome of the
project on Paleolimnological studies is likely to be completed
very soon.
