The Department has been founded in 1955 provides formal education as well as research activities in ancient Indian history, culture and archeology. The building of 645.64 Sq. m. built up area is located in the Mahatma Jyotiba Phuley Campus, Amravati Road, Nagpur. Computer Application in Archaeology is the major thrust areas in which research activities are being actively pursued.
